Best Street Performers

I know they are a hassle to some people but its always interesting watching these people dress up to the tee..From spraying body metallic paint to elaborate costumes, they are fun to watch and I bet some of em make pretty good coin..My vote goes to the "Johnny Depp - Pirate" I saw him Downtown last year and he was rollin in the dollars...Any other votes>

I like Johnny Depp, too, and most of the characters, I see. It just adds to the entertainment, especially on Fremont Street.

I saw a Robert De Niro look alike downtown and he was not only a dead ringer but sounded like him also. His name is Robert Nash and he is amazing.

Yes, Champ, unless he is elsewhere, he plays on Fremont Street nightly from 8PM-11PM. I've seen him there for many years. He usually plays over by Binion's and offers his CDs and whatnot for purchase.

He has a website at https://www.safe-sax.com and his schedule for August 2013 (which you can get to through https://www.safe-sax.com/calendar and then click on the "Choose Month" link and go to 8/2013) says that he will be there all of the nights that you mention from 8PM-11PM.

Some performers are legitimate performers. They're either dancers, or singers, or other professionals getting some cash on their night off. Unfortunately I think many of the people that used to sit on the sidewalk next to a can of coins have found a better way to panhandle - dress up like Spiderman. Some of the custumed people are really scuzzy.

These people with the oversized costumes position themselves right in the middle of the traffic alley
when you are trying to walk from one end of fremont to the other, that along with the Zip Line equiptment
on the end near the Heart Attack Grill, force an all too narrow Alley.

Ok let me set up the story.....
My wife and I are on Fremont Street in front of the Golden Nugget when we see a dead ringer for Cap'n Jack Sparrow of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise and a lady dressed in similar garb.
The lady is a bigger gal in more than one way, but anyway I give them $5 each to take a picture with them. They both put their arm around me and smiled for the camera and about the time my wife goes to snap a picture the lady drops her top and two of the biggest boobs I have ever had a picture taken with flop out! (pasties on the nipples)
I had no idea that this was going to happen! I thought my wife was going to have a heart attack! I have seen what my wife and I affectionately call the "big boobed women" on Fremont Street many times since, so I know she is still around.
I wish I was more tech savvy as I would post the picture here (its hilarious!)
