Boyd Gaming upgrades its B Connected loyalty club program
More Like A Downgrade!
Card Levels Expire Dec 31 And That Really Hurts The Snowbirds.....
We Stay & Play Almost Exclusively At Boyds Jan-March...So If Our Card Level Expires Every Dec We Lose Any Loyality We've Built Up....Add To That Players Points Expire After 6 Months....So Basically No Reason To Be Boyds Loyal Anymore....Very Upset Over This New NON-LOYALITY Club
I totally agree, Janice.
Add me to that (probable growing) list!
Look for Boyd to come up with a Boyd-branded credit card.
Just a guess.
Definitely not an upgrade for video poker players; tier points depend on type of game, amount, length of time....can they be any more vague? From what I have been hearing, playing a game like 9/6 JOB...it will take a ton of play to earn tier credits. Ruby card players don't earn points until they reach the next card level...what the hell is that all about? I don't think the Gold Coast and MSS will see a whole lot of me unless they change things.
Ditto
Ditto again. From 57,000 to 583. What a ripoff.
I'll be staying at the Orleans on Sat. for a week.
Probably my last time because of this crap.

I put it this way: As long as you have Emerald, at least they keep sending you the room offer. Since you will probably play a little bit, Boyd's smart marketing people will realize that this program is totally unfair towards longtime loyal customers that have to start as Ruby again as the next year begins. Earning 750 tier points as a kind of "entry fee" before you will be eligible to earn base points, that's a joke. Nobody with halfway common sense would agree to such terms and as soon as my Emerald status will expire, they will have difficulties getting me back as a customer. I used to "spend" approx 3000-4000 Dollars during my stay, every single time I was staying at the Gold Coast or Sam's Town. Records can prove this, even the P&L statement. I know that especially at Sam's Town the majority of the gamblers do not gamble that much but hang around often. Recreational visitors, a little bit of videopoker, a little bit of swimming pool, buffet time, and watching television in the hotel rooms. But that's not me.
The problem about this new club system is, in my opinion, they did not think it all through. So it's possible some chances will be implemented. Not so sure, but it's sure that many players will refuse to "pay 750 Dollars "(expected average cost of 750 tier points) until they will be eligible to earn bonus points. There are plenty other casinos in the valley that has better club values, and the same kind of machines. So they will feel it when the customers will walk and play elsewhere. Or they must do their homework and make changes apply.
Greetings
