BRAND NEW Vegas TV Show on Travel Channel!!!

I have watched and enjoy it. It is interesting how many ways they try just to get you in the door.
Before this program aired I had a pretty good impression of the South Point from what I have read on these message boards and friends of friends who have stayed there. Granted it's still probably a pretty nice place but nothing I've seen on the show would make me want to stay there. Beer pong competitions, though I do enjoy a brew now and again (as is evidenced by my ever expanding waistline) and spaghetti eating contests aren't going to bring me to any casino especially one that seems a little isolated from most of Las Vegas.

American Casino, on the other hand, made me curious about Green Valley Ranch. Even though I haven't visited this casino yet, the program made the place seem very relaxing but fun. GVR seems sort of upscale without being too expensive.

These are just impressions I have of both properties from TV programs. I have never visited either one so I could be completely off base.

I think I agree, but probably because none of the extra events they have had really appeal to me.

GVR is certainly a relaxing and upscale place - one of the reasons I love it.
If anything, the show reminded me of the challenges a place like SP has to get people in the door. Within this forum alone, I've seen various postings from people who think SP is just too far to venture to. As a vp player who can't afford to play at the $5 level, I need to seek out the places that I can afford to play at that have good paytables, and SP is one of those places that fit the bill. The fact that they have good restaurants and are generous with comps to me is even better.

I agree with Sooner. We have been to the SP many times and enjoy it very much but, if I had not had that experience, I would not stay or even visit the place. Even in the intro they refer to the "cowboy" casino which does not appeal to us at all.

The GVR program focused more on the personalities but, also highlighted the casino floor, restaurants and amenities. No one on the SP show is very likable plus the events are pretty low-rent.

To each their own.
We actually have stayed at SP a couple times and have another scheduled in May (yeah). We only get to go to Vegas about once a year and are definitely not whales. We always rent a car so the distance really isn't a big deal. We find the rooms nice and facility offers lots to choose from. Last time we were there we actually used the jacuzzi out by the pool, at NIGHT! Wow. A pool area open past 6pm! That was a nice option. Also, they had the nicest, biggest jacuzzi we've ever seen. And it offered an opportunity for more privacy for each 'group' in the jacuzzi. As far as playing there, we usually get some good play and that's actually how we started going there. Since it's so much more affordable than most strip properties (and no resort fee), that leaves us more money to play with.

Oh, as far as Vegas Stripped is concerned, we have found it very interesting. And I think it would have been really fun to sit on the side and watch all the 'individual's parade through for the Fetish and Fantasy ball.
The entire season is available here!

So there was only 4 episodes? Will it be back, I did kind of like it as it was new Vegas related.
I see that 20 clips are offered from the show from the link that Champ provided, so thanks Champ for that!
