Cashing tax refund checks

Are there any casinos who give free play, etc. if you cash your income tax refund at their location? Are there any restrictions, such as amount of check, do you have to be a Nevada resident, etc. Thanks in advance for any information.
El Cortez gives 5% up to $50 of free play for ANY government check. I cash my SSA checks there
Gotta disagree with ya, Joe. I tried to cash my unemployment check at the Tez last summer and they wouldn't take it. I doubt it was because they were protecting me from myself!

fredo
El Cortez can be very picky. I wrote about this a couple of years ago.

I think you have to have some gaming history at the 'Tez to take advantage of that promo now (even though the terms of the promotion don't specifically say that).

That said, I do and I've been able to get $50 twice for cashing my tax refund check there.
I believe you need to have earned some many point the month prior to cashing the check. I think earning 1000 points in March will allow you to cash one check in April. It is spelled out somewhere, but I'm not sure where.
wanna hear something bizarre? the three harrah's owned properties in north Mississippi are actually CHARGING to cash tax refund checks. i think it's $5. There is a sign up at the cage. Anyone else think this is basically retarded?

If the person doesn't have a bank account, they would pay far more than that at a check cashing store.

true, but a casino is supposed to want you to cash a check there so that you will gamble there. I am pretty sure that a lot of people are just going to another casino that's not charging to cash the check. as expensive as gas is right now, I doubt many people are driving out to Tunica county Mississippi to cash their tax checks cheaply with no intention of gambling while they are there. The same casinos also have signs at the cage stating they charge to cash a personal check.
