Circa resort question......

First off, the place looks amazing, hopefully actually IS amazing and not just hype.  Had a question though, I read in an article that Circa is the first "from the ground up" casino to open in downtown in decades, in this case from the ground up where Las Vegas Club once stood, but isn't Downtown Grand on the ground where Lady Luck used to be prior to it's leveling?

Yes, it is, so I guess that depends on what you mean by "from the ground up."

I don't believe that the old Lady Luck was completely leveled but the LV Club was completely demolished.

The Lady Luck was not fully demolished.  The basic structure remained, but windows and everything else was replaced.  Everything on the Circa footprint was torn down.

Circa was a full rebuild which means it has bigger rooms (kinda like the Rush Tower at Golden Nugget).     But they are charging $200 / night for them (compared to $100 night for the Rush Tower Rooms at GN).    So I dont expect that to last long.

I'll in Vegas in 5 days.     Unfortunately the NFL  cancelled the MNF game I planned on watching on Circa's giant screen so I'll have to watch something else there.

PJ, have a great trip to Vegas.  I'm off to Mexico on December 13 for a week and I can't wait.  Sun, beach, pool, Tequila, and tons of great food.

Ignoring explicit CDC warnings not to travel to Mexico. I'll bet you're not even bringing along a mask.

Thanks for playing your part in spreading the pandemic.

Kevin, that's easy to say as a government worker with a full bullie.  Ask the unemployed Mexican workers if they want tourists to visit and the answer's yes.

Ask them if they want to contract covid and the answer's no.

If you really want to help them, donate to any one of hundreds of relief organizations that administer aid to Mexico and stay home. Your amusement isn't that important in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure they have beer and tacos where you live.

I'm not going to mention your own safety or that of your loved ones, because you obviously don't care about that.
