Clark County Museum?

Has anyone been to the Clark County Museum? I see the curator on Pawn Stars fairly often and remember an episode of American Restoration where they restored an air siren from the atomic testing age and took it there. I see they have an exhibit of the casinos that have been bulldozed or imploded.

It's only $2.00 to get in, so I was thinking about making a trip out there. I'm staying downtown, so it's about a 25 minute drive to get there.

Just didn't know whether anyone else had visited.
The museum is worth a visit, with a street of houses about a block long showing how people in LV lived at various times in the past. There is also a bunch of old RR equipment laying about and a steam engine on display. it is not worth an all day visit, nor worth taking time from a weekend visit, but if you're in town for a week or more, you can visit and fit it in on your way to/from the dam or Sunset Station or Fiesta Henderson. I also recommend it for your kids and grand kids. A quick stop at Ethel M on the way is also a mood elevator for the chocolate lovers in your group.

Thank you, Roy. I'm going to check it out.

Does anybody have directions to the museum from the strip?
Per Google - from Corner of LV Blvd & Flamingo - Head west ot I-15. I-15 south to I 215. Take 215 east until it ends and turns into Lake Mead Drive. Continue until you reach Boulder Highway. Southeast on Boulder Hghway for about 2.7 miles. Museum on left side of road. Will take about 1/2 hour to get there.

Slower routes include any of the main streets eastbound to Boulder Highway and just follow it southeast until you get there.

Just to follow up, I went and thoroughly enjoyed it. Spent a couple of hours and could have easily spent more. I saw the air siren they restored on "American Restoration". The old houses were very cool. It's amazing to stop and think about how small houses were now compared to today.

I was staying downtown. Going down, I took the freeway down to Wagonwheel Drive (exit 56), then it was just a matter of going up Boulder Highway (back towards LV) a mile or so. On the way back, I decided to take Boulder Hwy all the way back, since that runs right into Fremont Street. I enjoyed that drive and it was really only a few minutes slower than the freeway. From the Strip, those directions sound like the best way.
