It was 2001, if I recall correctly (dubious at best). Was in Vegas for NYE. To make a short story long, it had been over a decade since I'd visited. Wife and I ended up with last minute reservations in a true dive about 4 or 5 blocks from the FSE. Great weather for most of the week, then the news started blasting about a cold snap and possible snow. Seems like they hadn't had snow there for decades. Anyway, is dropped a few flakes on Jan 30, just enough to call it snow. couldn't see anything else on TV except the huge snowstorm in Vegas. The cool part is that while it snowed, I sat at a low limit poker table at Binion's, first time playing hold 'em. Took about $500 off in to the snowstorm that night. Must have been beginner's luck in the desert snow.
