Cosmopolitan Parking Garage Really Cool Feature

Parked in the Cosmo parking garage for the first time a few weeks ago and found they have a really cool feature that I've been telling everyone at home about.

First there are digital signs above each section that shows the amount of spaces available in green and amount taken in red. Then each space has a red or green light hanging down in front of it so you can see exactly where the open spaces are. As soon as you pull into an open space the light turns from green to red.

I loved this and kept telling everyone this is going to be the wave of the future for parking garages when just this week the new Terminal A makeover at DFW airport includes this feature (the lights hanging down over the spaces - not sure if they have the signs with how many spaces are open/full) in the parking garage.

What a great feature! I can sit here and wonder how much of my life I could get back from those episodes of driving up and down every aisle looking for a spot!
Silverton has digital signs showing the # of spaces availiable on each floor(but not the lights above the space). There was at least one more, but it escapes me at the moment.
This is a nice feature for visitors. Specific to the individual space is a very expensive venture. Can't imagine what the return on investment is supposed to look like.

This is a very useful feature. Used it twice this past week. I will say that getting out of the Cosmo garage after one of their Boulevard Pool concerts is a problem.
I love SO much of what the Cosmo does! Parking garage (Plus the graffitie), decor, buffet..... just wish the gamble was better there. I'd love to stay there BUT....the gamble is not that great. Hopefully we'll see a better deal in the future.
The Rivers casino in the Chicago suburb or Rosemont has the exact same parking space identifier lights
Well, going to stay there this summer. Hope to fill you in on the pros and cons. Already know I love the Wicked Spoon!
Had a 2 night stay there. The room was fabulous and the balcony was even better! Waited in line for over an hour on Sunday for the Wicked Spoon and was VERY disappointed! I've eaten there many times and loved it but our last visit to the buffet was not so great. They have really cut back. As I've said before.... the gamble is not great. I don't play 6/5 blackjack. You can find better tables there but most were 6/5.

They target the young "hip" crowd but I don't see them at the tables. They are at the pool and/or clubs. Can't make money that way! I'll stay there again if I get a good room rate but I'm not a strip fan. It's too hard to get in and out of the Cosmo. We spent a lot of time dealing with traffic.

All that being said.... the staff are VERY helpful and I would rate them at 10 on a scale of 10! Everyone on the property was very friendly/helpful! The rooms are great! I WANT this place to succeed! I'm just worried that they haven't figured out who their target audience is. Hipsters fill the clubs BUT.... 50+ folks have the money to spend. Just sayin.
