Cosmopolitan points gone

A grace period woulda been nice-- I highly doubt hacking had anything to do w/ clearing out $600.00 worth of Larrys comps.

Bastids
And I thought they were trying to get more people to gamble!
Cosmo seems like gambling is an afterthought to them.
They make more on rooms, clubs, booze, shops, food, Spa, etc.. (why open on the Strip?)
In the larger groups of people we spotted, no one was American.

Well, I saw some Native Americans there my last time so...

I knew they were Natives because one had a headband with a feather sticking up on the back.

BTW, one of them was chanting while he looked up at the ceiling.

I did not know Indians had a gambling god.

Unless he was praying for rain???

We just got back from our third stay there. It appeared as though I had lost about

12,000 points when I put my card in a machine. I checked with the Identity person and was

told all of my points were still there.

A front desk attendant discovered when we were checking out that I had three identity accounts because

a new one was assigned to me every time I checked in. My accounts are being merged and all

of my points are still there.

Larry you may have more than one account. Ask someone else. Always works for me there.

And the site is still down, going on three months now, but they assured me no personal

info was compromised.
I was actually told by three people - the rewards center rep, a supervisor and my casino host that they indeed did change the system and zeroed out my points. I only have one account there.

Larry from Las Vegas, NV
Sounds like they are not consistant in their policy knowledge.
We don't go enough to worry alot about "points" but it would be very disappointing to think the exec's upstairs just decided one day to pull the "rug" out from all the loyal gamblers!

How can people who "THINK" they are so damn smart can make such stupid changes??????

Larry, I would be really upset if in your position where you "actually" use your comp points several times a year. What a bunch of BS.

Many mention the Val/Plz as being the dumbest bunch of exec's on player status but seems Cosmo is reading Sheldon's book. "Fuck the Customer"!
I played there very heavily over two days between Christmas and New Years and had accumulated about $200 in comps, about half of which I used, so I should have a bit more than $100 left. I have been trying to set up an online account and it is very frustrating to have the website down. In the middle of all this I received a note from a host introducing himself and saying to give a call when I am planning to return to Vegas. I was going to give staying at Cosmo a shot but I hate that there are no offers I can book online and that I have to have some kind of negotiation with a host as to what comps I can get while there.

Yes, the VP isn't great but I keep going back to CET's Total Rewards system. I don't think it can be more transparent in terms of how points are accumulatd, how and when those points are used, and accessing and booking offers.

Too bad Cosmo is screwing this up royally.

That's why my girlfriend and I don't play there anymore. My girlfriend especially has played there quite a bit and hasn't ever got an offer. Then there was the time we stayed there in a wraparound suite and was downgraded to a one bedroom suite with a better view. All they gave me was a $50 dollar food credit and told me I could use it anytime and it would exist as long as the hotel was there. Went back a few months later and no one knew a thing, GONE!!! Vanished!!! No more gambling at the cosmo for us. It's cool to walk around in there and look at art, but that's it.

sorry for your losses
