I don't want to dissuade you from doing what you really want to do, but now is not a good time to move to Vegas unless you already have a job lined up. The casinos have been hit hard by the recession. Unemployment is very high. Even after finishing dealer school, you will be competing for very few job openings with lots of other people (many with prior dealing experience). And, in case you don't know, most dealers in Vegas start out working irregular hours...basically filling in when needed until a full-time job is available. You can't expect a regular paycheck at first.
If you are absolutely determined to become a dealer, I would suggest starting out somewhere besides Vegas. Assuming you live in the U.S. there is probably a casino (or several) in your area. Most of them offer dealer training for free. Go through the training, then get some experience under your belt locally. Save up a few dollars and wait for Vegas to get back on track. You will have a much better chance of landing a job.
