I posted this a couple of weeks ago.........
"My plane is scheduled to land in las Vegas at 2:10 PM, Sunday February 3rd--Superbowl Sunday. The superbowl is scheduled to kick off at 3:30PM Pacific Time (las Vegas time).
Question, Do I have time to land, get my baggage, take the shuttle to the car rental facility (advantage rent a car), drive to the Monte Carlo and and make a sports bet?
Patriots over the 49ers (I am writing this while the championship game is in progress)
or should I drive to the nearest casino and make my bet?? Which would be???
Thanks for any advice weggie "
The southwest plan landed right on time (2:10), we ran to the baggage claim and it was there waiting for us(sweet!), we jumped right on a bus headed for the rental car facility and it took right off (sweet!), we then hit the Advantage car rental line which was about 10 people long.
Normally, this would be no problem and it only took about 25 minutes to get thru, but by the time we got thru it and drove to the Monte Carlo and valet parked, we missed the kick off by about 3 minutes! (nuts!)
yes, I got to watch the superbowl in Las Vegas with 10,000 screaming football fans, but I didnt get to bet which of coarse was why I was in Las Vegas
The lesson...1 hour and 20 minutes is NOT long enough to get to from the airport, thru the car rental, and to a casino to make a bet
