Do you prefer to arrive late or early?

Most of the time I would rather leave work a little early and fly an early evening flight than fly early in the morning. Sure, I have to pay for an extra night and beg my boss to let me leave. But I can check-in, my room is ready so I can just unpack, get a small bite and then a little poker and beer before a good nights sleep. In the morning I'm already on vacation.

Any preferences?
This will be my 6th flight to Vegas and only the second at night. I usually don't want to pay for a hotel room that I won't have for a full day. However, flying in at night was kinda cool, so I'm doing it again - thanks in part to the MRB 2 for 1 hotel coupons. : )

We live in the East and we used to only have one non-stop flight to choose. Now there are two daily non-stops to Vegas and I like to take the early one.
Next trip we will leave Buffalo at 7am and arrive in Vegas at 9am. I would MUCH rather get there, get our car and be in Vegas than hang around at home waiting to go to the airport.
Even though our room isn't always ready, we are there and have a full day to enjoy.

I'm east coast too. If the situation is that I cannot leave after work then I do the early flight too.

We like to tak the earliest morning flight available if we are leaving on a weekday. Since we live in the Chicagoland area, morning traffic is always unpredictable. We usually beat the traffic if we take the earliest flight, which, I believe, is 7:30 a.m. That gets us into LV around 9:30 am.

We take the shuttle to Paris, have always gotten our room (hubby is diamond and we don't care about the view too much), and head out to Ellis Island for some breakfast. Then we can relax, unpack, and take care of any tickets, etc. we need to get.

Definitely first thing in the morning from the East coast. No flight delays because the air traffic is just starting, so I'm not sitting in the airport thinking I SHOULD be on my way to LV instead of just sitting here. Once I arrive in LV, I already feel like I'm floating 10 feet off the ground...even if it's just taking the van to the car rental hub. Once I hit the hotel, there's more of a chance for an upgrade at 10:00am and less of a chance that I have to hear, "That's all we have left" when it comes to rooms (king, non-smoking thank you very much).

I prefer a mid day flight out of NY. Get in to Vegas around 4:30. I don't gamble much my first day unless I have free slot play.
We have always flown in at night, the view of the strip is awesome. I am heading there with my daughter on Tuesday and because the morning flight was direct we are trying this way for the first time at arriving around 2pm. Only downside is this is her first flight there and she won't see the view of the strip at night.
Arrive morning if flying .... Mid-day if driving.
Rarely ever arrive at night.

i dont like arriving early, i hate the morning rush at my airport. plus the couple times i flew in early rooms werent reay, so if i lerave east cost 4:30 and arrive like 6pm vegas time is fine with me , i mean vegas is open 24/7
