i always try to arrive by noon. its like getting a whole extra day. when i get there after 7 by the time i've checked in and everything that day is wasted.
I like to arrive early anwhere between 7 a.m. to noon. Southwest has a flight out of Albuquerque about every hour, so this is easy. After I land and get the car I have a list of things to do! It's amazing how many things you can do in a day! I try to see new places or eat at a new resturant/casino! This usually takes most of the day, then I check into my hotel!
I always have a list of things to do! I keep adding to my list!
I would LOVE to get an evening flight into Vegas but we are always so gung ho to get there, we are usually on that 6:30am flight from Houston that lands in Vegas at 7:30am. We know full-well that we can't check in for more than 6 hours but we want to have as much time as possible in Vegas.
Instead of getting up before dawn and driving to Atlanta, I slept in. I still have plenty of time to finishing packing before making the 2 hour drive. I could get used to evening flights to Vegas. : )
We take the 7:15 A.M non stop flight from St.louis on AA. Arrive Vegas at around 8:45 A.M. This gives us plenty of time to grab the bags and snag the 9:30 A.M shuttle from the airport to GVR.
We have flown both morning and evening flights and I think I prefer the morning flights. You get all day and can even take a nap to be rested for the evening.
We usually take the late night flights home and that way we get all day so it is like getting an extra day..
I have taken both morning and evening flights...prefer the evening if leaving after work. Arrive in vegas around 10PM, unpack, relax, gamble a bit, then hit the sack.
I agree Bassman. I prefer to leave after work as well. There's a flight that leaves Austin at 6:40 p.m. so if I have to go home before I go to the airport, I might have to leave work about a half hour early, but that's no big deal. It's even better if I have that night comped somewhere too.
