Does anyone else do this?

I booked our trip (flight and hotel) several weeks ago. I keep checking the rates, and both the hotel and airfare have gone done. I was able to easily change both to the lower rate, saving about $30 on the hotel stay and $240 on the airfare! Just wondering if anyone else does this?
I absolutely never stop checking, even after I have booked non-refundable, non-changeable tickets. Part of a bit of OCD on my part. And you didn't even mention the car rentals.
We don't rent a car or I'd check that too! I plan to keep checking and hope they go even lower! I'm a little OCD about it too...
If you call Jet Blue when the fare goes down the will put the difference in your "bank account" and you have one year to use the funds.

I fly Jet Blue a lot and I NEVER knew this. Thanks so much. GREAT info.
always check and change often
I check frequently. Last trip I was checking car rental rates on the shuttle to the terminal. I have a car booked for Monday. I'll check a half dozen times between now and then.
And JetBlue does not charge a change fee. So, if the fare goes down $30 you get the $30 into your
account. I have had trips where I have had 4 reductions in price and they refunded them each time.

That's one of the many things I really like about JetBlue. I find a fare I can live with and them check it
every day to see if the fare has gone down. You can also register your fare with Yapta.com and they
will e-mail you if the fare changes, but I prefer to watch it myself since sometimes their notification is
a few hours after the fare changes and it might be gone by the time you call to request the refund.

Additionally, if you book with miles they will return the difference to your mileage account.
Do other airlines do this as well, or just Jet Blue? I've thought about calling Air Tran a few times, but figured it would be a lost cause.
I did this through Southwest.. It was simple to do online, you just go to change flight and pick the same flight with the lower price. I had used points to pay so I just got my points returned. If you pay cash you get a credit for the difference that has to be used in a year.
