Double Digits!!!!!

sometimes when i go to vegas in december, its cold. there have been a couple of trips i had to buy gloves. last year it was insanely frozen and there were talks of SNOW.

then some years its warm. whatever year that nyc had the transit strike (i want to say 2005?) i was sleeping at the plaza with my window open and seeing the thermometer on top of binions reading numbers in the 70's.

so basically, i cant pack yet because i dont know what ill get this year.
it was cold in vegas this weekend. brrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Anyway, I tentatively have plans to be in vegas on march 20th for the first weekend of march madness. I hear it's a sausagefest and I like a good sausage.

march 20th is 99 days away. i have hotel booked, but not a flight yet. Can i post here again?
yes you may. i have a new habit of waiting way too long to book my flight, but i post in here once the days are set in stone.

ive been on jury duty and i found out today its expected to be over next week. thank god because i leave next weekend.
Well, it's not exactly set in stone. I have to get the days off work. And it turns out that's easter. i have to decide if I want to celebrate our Risen lord & Savior with gambling, alcohol, and college hoops

i also ducked out on the family for Thanksgiving

isnt easter normally in april?
not always. this year its March 23. That's about the earliest it will ever fall
i want to win a million dollars. i dont understand why i never do.

Yes, when I used to go to LV in December, the weather would be different. Usually it was cold (although I know that this is a relative term since I'm from Southern California). But I do remember one of my trips where the Highs were in the 30's and the Lows were in the 20's. And one day during the trip, I went to meet a friend at Stratosphere (I was staying Downtown) and as I was driving, I heard on the radio that with the Wind Chill Factor it felt like it was 13 Degrees. That was something completely new to me. I remember wearing 3 layers of clothing on the top plus Thermal Underwear and Mittens and I was still Freezing!

And then one year (this happened before the above-mentioned event), the temperatures were in the low 70's. That pleased me very much. But yes, you never know what you may find in weather in LV.

What I do for this is go to www.weather.com, type 89101 for the Zip Code (this is the Zip Code for Downtown Las Vegas) and then go to the 10-Day Forecast link. I actually have this site bookmarked for all my trips to LV (as well as for when I'm just curious about the weather in LV).

And I'm normally pretty often in the Double Digit group because I tend to go to LV about 3 or 4 times a year, so I don't tend to be any more than 120 days away from another trip (much more often it is 100 days or less). As things stand right now, I'm 72 days away from leaving for my next scheduled trip.

we had one CRAZY frozen year. i had on my winter coat (east coast style!) and we were walking from walgreens to the el cortez and i remember it being so cold and windy that i just wanted to cry.

i am a weather.com addict - once your date shows up, you can post in the single digits thread! but my dates arent up there yet. they will be tomorrow though. it does look like ill be getting a cold one though.

right now it is ONE degree warmer in vegas than it is here, and we are supposed to have snow today.
We have 8 days.
