Milestone number one. The first day of the month before you leave. I can officially say that I am going to Vegas next month!!!!!See you on the 14th... thats when I leave in one calendar month.

Okay, I booked my flights today. Going June 3rd to June 8th now. Have two (cheap) nights at Hard Rock and three (reasonable) nights at Mandalay Bay for the weekend. I waited too long to book my air and it went up and I had to scramble to get the cheapest fare (though it seems like flying out of McCarran on a Sunday is expensive as hell). I got a one-way on Virgin America for 60 and the return flight (way too early in the morning) on Southwest for 80. I debated not getting a hotel for Saturday since I was flying out so early, but the Mandalay Bay deal was a good one and I have never stayed there before. I won't be gambling this trip (well, hardly at all). I am spending too much as it is . . . everything is going up, even my cheap trips to Vegas!!!
