here is a list of mistakes i have made booking my trip so far:
1. booked california through travelocity, even though the rates were the same via californias website, however i was unaware of this since my job had firewalled the california website at the time
2. tried to score trump on priceline but instead got the palazzo. not only did i NOT get the hotel i was aiming for, i paid way more for the palazzo than i should have ($109 before taxes and on their website they have rates for $119 that comes with $50 free slot play). as an added bonus - i also booked this for the WRONG DAY. i wanted sunday and accidentally booked monday. this is proving to be very frustrating as its just this huge black mark screwing up my plans.
3. i paid way too much for airfare because i waited to long to book the flight home. now....the flight there, im not upset about because it was only about $10 more. but the flight home is on us airways and not only did i overpay by about $75, they charge for luggage. even more painful......i checked airfare today and if i had waited LONGER, i could be flying virgin for cheaper.
4. this may be the biggest mistake of all. i booked leaving on december 12. looking back, what i should have done was booked leaving november 21 so that i would be there NOW instead of at work bored out of my mind and wishing i were in vegas.
