GET OUT OF THE DOUBLE DIGITS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is the first trip ever where i booked airfare and then watched it go DOWN after. i paid about $450 and on one leg i am flying us airways and PAYING FIFTEEN DOLLARS to check my bag.

right now virgin, which is a nice airline, has my dates for $259 total.

so i overpaid two hundred bucks for crappy flights when i could have saved two hundred bucks for a better flight.

wont get over this.

I just booked my trip to Vegas for the Superbowl so my countdown has begun at 63 days!!!

33. enjoyed the last trip over veterans weekend, and the next starts 1 jan '09. i traditionally stayed away from LV when holiday demand drove up prices, but this year i had very good (priceline) stays and comps downtown, strip, and rio for 4 july and others. i guess the prices started falling before the stock market tanked. at GN for the first time, the night after the rack rate was over 300, and i'm in at 49 per weekend night. some nights it's still better to avoid. m

35 days for me---annual Jan trip----haven't been to Las Vegas since August---starting to get fired up now!!!!

Finally, this is my last day in double digits land. Tomorrow, the door open to the new and wonderful single digits world. Can't wait.
