12 days - will be staying 4 nites double booked at Caesar's and Palazzo.

In 4 hours - will be staying 3 nites double booked at Harrah's and Palazzo. -While I'm there the trip above will move to single digits. Only 5 days of work in between.

jenaphir: Try not to take all the jackpots downtown. Some of them could use the help.

KarenTN: Looks like we'll be in town together. You'll have to show me your favorite hotel-casino - the Gold Spike That's the only way I'll go back, since they don't really have anything worth playing.

I will only play black jack there, and only on weekend nights. What makes you think it's not worth playing?

The blackjack comes out of a shoe with not enough good rules to compensate for that. IMO, not worth the time to walk the extra block when there are ten other casinos I can hit with rules that are as good or better.

Two more days and I'll be moving to single digits. WooHoo!!!! k

61 days left. Some of us will be there at the same time.

27 days to go! That is, if our house doesn't burn down!!! Live in New Harmony, Ut where a wildfire is burning on Pine Valley mountain. We live VERY close to the mountain and just southeast of the township. The township and foothill area has been evacuated. Firefighters came by around noon and put us on alert. Had stuff packed last night and put in cars today for possible evac orders. Found list of pet-friendly motels in Cedar City (have 2 cats) as the makeshift shelter in next town is already too crowded. Wind blowing northwest but they are expecting it to turn with a front that's coming and may drive the fire eastward towards us. This is what happens when they let a lightening fire burn under a "controlled" watch for 3 weeks! We think some houses on the hills have burned but the news is so bad here and we don't receive updates. The Salt Lake City news has basically ignored us (nothing new!) For those of you who have driven past the Kolob Canyons along the I-15 either going to or from Vegas, you'll no doubt remember the very big mountain to the west. Well, holding tight for now until we get the go signal. People with livestock have already moved them out. Hopefully we'll be able to stay, keep our house, still make it to LV!!!Wish us luck!!!
