Eldorado ruining the service at Caesars properties?

I havent been out to Vegas in about 4 years.  Planning a trip for this January.  I used to stay at the Rio but last time I was there it seemed to be in disrepair.  On my web search to stay at a different Caesar property I was shocked to see the avalanche of negative reviews for all of the LV Caesar properties.  Ive read that they are removing table games, closed the diamond lounges, did not re-open the buffets, the rooms are not being cleaned properly or daily serviced, replaced check-in clerks with machines, and many ammenties and food options are closed.  Is this all true? Is this going on at non-Caesar properties too?

To a significant extent, customer service and amenities have been choked off at all Vegas casinos, but El Dodo is the current grand champion of casino crapification (that is too a word). They're a bunch of penny-pinching, shortsighted bozos who understand the casino industry about as well as my pet goldfish does. Their strategy, such as it is, is to massively inflate the short-term bottom line and then use those juicy earnings reports as a handle to dump the company as fast as they acquired it.

You'll pay too much for lousy service and crappy conditions no matter where you go, but if you stay at a Caesars property, you'll really regret it. Keep in mind that January is convention season and casino hotels routinely gouged their customers then before the pandemic. This year, it should be a real shit show. Lower your expectations (drastically) and bring lots (and lots) of money.

You should stay at South Point since you are used to staying off strip anyway.

They've retained the same player-friendly atmosphere they had from before the pandemic and have the only value buffet on the strip right now.
