But one of these days I'll make it out there!

I just went there the other day during my trip last week. I love that place! If I'm ever in LV as the same time as you then I will take you there myself.

The Frog was no good huh? That's too bad. I was interested due to the beer selection.

Yeah, I wanted to check it out for the same reason. I've always kind of gathered that it's largely a UNLV crowd there, although I'm guessing that because of its proximity to the university.

The Brew Pub at Monte Carlo has a tremendous beer selection, although it is expensive. (Think $8-$9 bucks for a pint of Dogfish Head or similar). They advertise a half-price happy hour, but that's only for domestic and non-premium beer.

And the Yard House at both Town Square and Red Rock have excellent selections, plus a nice happy hour.
I'll have to try the Yard house instead of the Frog, thanks for the tip.

sorry double post

Ooh, sounds good, Alex! Thanks for the offer.

It now looks like I might next be out there the week of 10/24 (between I think possibly Late Sunday or Monday and Thursday).

Another friend wants to go the week of Labor Day and stay there until Sunday but I can't be there that long and then I'd have to take the Greyhound Bus back to Los Angeles and I don't necessarily want to do that (although I do definitely take Greyhound at times)!

I always plan on seeing the Palms for the first time, and playing Bingo. Never have done either in 20+ trips. Now that Riviera has bingo, I just may knock one of these pins down.
First stop - Welcome to Las Vegas Sign.
Dine at Hugo's, Dance at the Voodoo, and hit Nevada Nickels!
I never, never, ever play slot machines of any kind. I play video poker and table games.

I was at the riviera in april 2010 and I saw a woman hit a .25 wheel of fortune for 200k and I said to myself "self, why don't you play them once in awhile, you never know". Maybe during my Sept trip I will play some slot machines.
