The bad beat progressive at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut is now over $550,000!I looked it up and it has gone up to $300 $350k a few times but this is the biggest progressive by far.
To win the progressive, you need to have a minimum of quad 8's (two of them have to be in your hand) and then get beat by a larger hand. When I was there last Sunday, the losing hand would have received about $350,000. The winner of the hand would have received $100,000 and everyone else at the table would get a few thousand dollars (round numbers)
The poker room has been packed for weeks now and every time someone comes close to winning it, it causes a lot of commotion in the room! It is easily the biggest source of conversation in the room.
I am hoping it last until this weekend so I can give it another shot!
