Not a hangover remedy, but I do black coffee in between alcoholic drinks. Seems to keep me going.

But then, I like black coffee and it doesn't impair my sleep, fortunately.

Both Alcohol as well as Caffeine are Diuretics and help to cause or at least exacerbate Dehydration which is why neither are supposed to be drunk on very hot days because it can make worse Heat Stroke/Heat Prostration.

The more water I drink, the more I pee. Ha.
Anyway, this strategy (coffee after about 2 drinks) I use in the evening when I'm at a blackjack table (or a machine) for several hours, usually where I am staying, no going outside in the heat. But thanks. Hey, I've made it to age 70 (in a few days) so something is going right...LOL. And, bless me, I have never awakened with a hangover. Lucky me!

I definitely understand the rationale behind this. I put this information here (through your posting) because I realized that some people out there may not have ever known or thought about that (all of the dehydration which is caused by drinking both Alcohol as well as Caffeine). And so when I saw your posting mentioning both of them, this became what I thought was a good occasion to mention this information for the benefit of people out here who might not have known or thought about that.

Being Hydrated as well as well as adequately Vitamined are important for people to keep in mind in order to function well -- especially for people who are dealing with money when they have to be in the position to be thinking clearly (such as when playing Blackjack) so that people can help themselves to not end up doing something (like make bad plays) that could be even more costly.
Yes.... water and lots of it!!!! But, I recall trying out some product, or should I call it, Chasers Plus. I don't think you can buy the product any more which leads me to believe that it didn't work for people. But, it certainly worked for me! I remember reading somewhere that you are essentially swallowing edible charcoal. I believe it is this charcoal which was hard on the liver (unlike the heavy drinking).

If I recall, you take 2 pills before you start drinking and then another pill 4 hours after it. Myself and a friend decided to try it on 2 consecutive nights in Vegas and had great success. We felt fine in the morning with no real indications of drinking heavily. Let me say this.... the following day after talking the Chaser Plus pills, it was.... how do I say it.... umm..... well..... Let's just say the evidence was a different. Everything was alright, just a different color or hue. (Sorry to be gross).
Several storefronts push B12 shots, but I have no idea if that really works.
One of my favorite bartenders told me to drink lots of water.

Yep, I realize water is helpful and I certainly mix several in while drinking and prior to sleeping. Hoping the Pedialyte and pills will help speed up recover / make me feel slightly better than usual in the morning. We go hard for our 3 or 4 night stay, as most of you probably do. If it helps at all, it'll be worth it to me.

Water is more than helpful in this situation, it is necessary. Diuretics make people more thirsty (dehydrated) and so also drinking plain water is necessary to help things be more normal and to flush out the body system of some very possibly bad stuff to keep the body running well!
Back when I was still drinking, 2 - 3 aspirin and a glass of water before bed stopped the morning hangovers.
