Harrahs Total Rewards Visa Card worth getting?

I am thinking of applying for this credit card.

There is no yearly fee.

Upon receiving the card after spending $750 outside of a total rewards location you receive 10,000 in reward credits about $100 in comps at a Ceasars Property. If you have a Gold Card you are upgraded to Platinum.

Platinum allows you to use the valet and self park at Ceasars properties for free in Las Vegas.

2X points are earned for gas and groceries, 5X at Ceasars properties.

Points are earned at the base level $1 spent equals 1 reward credit. Ifyou spend $5,000 a year on the card you get back about $50 in comps.

You need to get 5,000 reward credits on a calendar year basis in order to maintain Platinum status.

The reward credits earned value is not great, but I like the idea of free parking. The reward credits I would use towards the Ceasars Buffet. This card may also be useful to existing Platinum members who on a yearly basis fall short of Diamond level.

Is anyone currently using this credit card, and do they any comments?

I like the card myself, don't know if it's better than any other card or if the returns are more favorable to your bottom line. But, being Platinum you have your own check in line, plus I got bumped up to Diamond for the rest of 2017 and now they extended it till March 31. I believe my comps are better and I usually don't have to pay for food as I use my credit card for most of my spending. Now they are giving more reward credits if you use your credit card at certain restaurants that they include on their web site. So yes, I use it and I like it and I think you will too.

The card is great!  They often send me promotions, and the past couple of years, I have been able to renew my Diamond status using my card, which is very easy.

In 2017 I got the Total Rewards Visa card and love the benefits.  Just the $100 comp for spending $750 in 3 months alone is worth it.  Also the free parking perk is mainly why I got this card since I always have a rental car in Vegas.  No fee made it a slam dunk for me.

And if you charge over $10,000 annually you earn a VIP pass which lets you go to the front of the line at all the TR LV casinos. This includes being able to check in at the diamond desk, go to front of restaurant/buffet lines, and shows.  My hubby loves this perk since he hates standing in line.  I would only encourage charging this much if you are able to pay the total each month and not incur finance charges.

My husband and I both have one.  We charge everything and pay it off at the end of the month.  We use the comps for food on our Vegas trips.  They run quite a few promos where you can earn extra reward credits or tier credits during the year.

There are better credit cards out there.
