Have You Ever Over Imbibed in Vegas?
If one is still conscious, upright, and has some motor control, one can imbibe...so if one manages to continue drinking, one has clearly not overimbibed.
Might not be able to spell it at that point, of course...
Come on Kevin: you are the Frank Burns of Vegas.
I'm usually pretty disciplined about my drinking in Vegas....I don't like to mix booze and gambling because it tends to have a bad impact on my bankroll....I also don't like to waste a day of my vacation in bed with a hangover. So I don't take advantage of the free drinks the way most people do.
having said that....I was at Ellis Is,and with a fellow LVA member once and we both had the 3 free drinks coupons. It was egg nog season. Back then you could use the coupons for the egg nog. I drank all 3 of mine and one of his. When we stood up to leave I almost fell down. That's actually pretty powerful stuff! I ended up taking a two hour power nap in my car in the parking garage.
I guess I realize the true nature of the "free" drinks. If I had to estimate, I'd say that those free drinks actually cost gamblers about $50 each.
But then, I'm odd that way. While I do enjoy the taste of many alcoholic beverages, I consider the experience of being even partially drunk to be so unpleasant as to border on horrible. Loss of orientation and motor control, and you act like an idiot, say stupid things, and make poor decisions.
And of course, that makes you the perfect gambler in the casinos' eyes.
Naps in the parking garage! Awesome story!
Now that I am older and my brains have grown in
I hate the feeling of being out of control too.
I make sure to be at or very near my hotel if I plan to have
a few adult beverages.

I think that's the best thing to do as you get older.
Naps are a new hobby of mine
I won't bore folks by repeating my story of having to be wheelchaired to my room after at least 5 "white Russians, no ice" at Bellagio. It was quite a few years ago when drinks were large and delish, blackjack table, fun people and dealer. Felt fine. Finally stood up, uh-oh. Dealer immediately called for the wheelchair while I insisted I could make it on my own...not true, wasn't gonna happen. Gave my security w/c driver a very nice tip...at least not so smashed as to forget to do that.
Anyway, that was my 'mostest' imbibe experience ever.
Candy
It is funny how you can feel just fine until you stand up.
That is the test...
