If someone has kids and they gamble, that's child abuse. If someone deliberately goes to Vegas in the height of summer, that's self-abuse. But they're stuffing the hotels in a feeding frenzy, clawing at each other for the privilege of playing $25 6:5 blackjack and paying $59 resort fees (plus tax). So what do I know? Maybe Vegas has some unique mystical magical allure that I'm oblivious to.
All I know is, if I want to set fire to my money, I can do so in my back yard, using my charcoal grill, and at least cook some burgers with it or something. Why travel one of the most miserably hot places in the US to do it?
Now, as far as having someone else clean the pool...true, but my backyard pool isn't being used by a hundred screaming kids and their pot-smoking parents. And the beer is a lot cheaper!
For those who feel burdened by their kids (that would be anybody who has kids), you can get a really good price for them on EBay. You can ensure the sale by throwing in free shipping--after all, how much is a Greyhound bus ticket? I don't recommend the cheaper alternative of nailing them into a crate.
If anyone buys this twisted, not funny view of reality - it is mental abuse.
