Help! - Underground bar on the strip?

Vegasnow - No, the Glacier Bar is underground (literally). In front of Gameworks.

Here is a link to one of the pics I found on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/65215866@N00/3829334752/

You can see northbound strip traffic on the left and Gameworks on the right. You take the stairs or escalator down to the bar.

No I understand it is underground. The "subway" entrance in the picture use to take you one floor down to the second floor of Gameworks where you could then either find your way down an additional level to the main floor of Gameworks or wander into the Gameworks bar and poolhall tucked in the corner where the adults use to hang out while the kiddies played games down below. As I recall, although it was isolated somewhat from Gameworks, it was still partially open to the Gameworks floor with several stairsways up and down.

It all use to be part of Gameworks. I am just wondering if they closed off the bar completely from Gameworks to create the Glacier bar as a completely separate bar, or whether they are just promoting the old Gameworks bar under a new name but with the same set up (ie. pool tables, dart boards, and ready access to Gameworks).
I'm sorry vegasnow. I misunderstood what you were asking. To be honest, I don't remember if it still leads into gameworks or not. That's bad, I know, but it was a VERY rough night. Not proud of it, but it happened. And it cost me dearly the next day! lol
No problem. Let's just say it never happened.

LMAO! Amen to that! What happens in Vegas...stays in Vegas. Unless you post it to a message board!
So is there some reason to go to this bar?
where everybody knows your name.............and theyre always glad you came.............
Same reason as any bar ... to have a drink. But if it is a similar setup as before you can also play pool and maybe some other adult games. Plus accessing via the stairway down, stuck right in the middle of the sidewalk, is kinda cool, and certainly convenient.
