Hotel Taxes On Resort Fees

Not ALL of us are comfortable gambling at the levels required to be getting comped rooms. Thus, some of us are stuck paying the onerous fees unless we're happy staying at the few which don't charge them.

I figure most places return "comps" basically equal to the ripoff fees. I'll sometimes base where I stay on these promotional "freebies".

I would assume the difference between DT and the strip is that the strip is governed by Clark County and DT is in the city. Like most states, tax rates can vary county to county and city to city.
