How do you deal with "Post Vegas Trip Depression" aka P. V. T. D.??

I usually dont get depressed till about 2 weeks after my trip.. The first week or so after I get back, Im tired, hungover, dehydrated and broke..

But when the Vegas depression hits, Ill search You Tube for random Vegas videos and re-read my trip reports (old and new) to hold me over..

marko..

I usually have packed so much activity and lack of sleep into my Vegas trips that it takes me about a week to recover once I am home. I write my trip report, reliving the experience once again, then start planning the next trip. Dude, you are going to Vegas, FOCUS on that.

We're in the "plan the next trip" group although we tend to run ourselves a bit ragged. We stay up past our bedtime, drink more than usual, gamble away the hours and generally have a blast but it does take a bit of recovery. I find it strange that we stay up late but are ready to get up in early in the morning. I guess we figure we can always sleep at home.

AND, if Southwest is booking out far enough...maybe have 2 trips booked. About to check on flights for our Feb. trip since SWAis booking through early March. Next trip, late Sept.

wow- I wish I was as strong as you folks. Whenever I get home from a Vegas trip I spend three or four days on the couch in a fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably....
I try to remind myself that I have to go home in order to go back....puts it into a better perspective!
I used to get depressed every time I left Vegas to return to New Jersey. I solved the problem. Moved to Las Vegas 7 years ago.

As others have said, one of the best antidotes to PVD, and that's all forms for post-vacay depression, is to have something in the pipeline. Another great antidote is to revel in what you have back home, be it friends, work, your house, your locale and setting, whatever. We love being home as much as we love being on the road, so it's all good. I'm looking out the back here, seeing oak-covered hills, vineyards, groves, green fields, and I'm thinking life is pretty good!!
LOL Larry I like your way of solving the problem...
Just got back yesterday myself and I already miss it. My best cure is to start planning the next trip. I also take a few visits to our local casino and of course keep up with everything on LVA.
