How Vegas Scams Tourists Every Day (Without Breaking the Law)

That was my point Max.  I too like the all in price up front.  But now people see that added resort fee, that didn't before, and 3 to 5 percent may be saying no.  Kevin was also correct in saying screw me on the back end and some people won't be back either.   We had comped rooms at Bally's many years ago, and learned at checkout that we still had to pay the resort fees.  We didn't stop coming to Las Vegas, but we did stop staying at Ceasars properties

Jacob's Life in Vegas is an entertaining vlog, he's a realtor and broker in Vegas and uses these videos to pump his businesses in a short ad usually in the middle of the video.

He's a decent guy, good content but does use the youtube algorithm with somewhat click bait style titles.

I'm more of a fan of Turn it up World, those two do a great job with Vegas reviews and news.  I like how Tanya and Dave present their videos and they are a treat to watch.

Plaza has been comping my rooms for quite a few years and they never charge me the resort fee.  --Maybe I'm lucky at my low roller status, but I think that's pretty much the standard there.

I like going to the Plaza and I feel they treat me well.  You won't find me on the strip unless its an event, restaurant or with my wife and she hates Vegas after so many years doing conventions there, so it may be a year between visits or more that I find myself on the Strip.  Horrible place to stay or gamble!

Yeah, one of the many things I loathe about YouTube is the clickbait nature of the postings there, as you point out, with a sensationalist title to attract attention. It's usually either completely false or an exaggeration, at best. This guy calling the things he bitches about "scams" is an example of that.

Anybody with a vested interest in painting a distorted picture--good or bad--is not a reliable information source. If the ultimate goal of a YouTube poster is to attract clicks and make money that way, you can't take their content at face value.

You could say that that's the overall problem: you can't trust any info source that has a vested interest in the info they provide. There are very few unbiased info sources in the US. That's why my chosen news source is the BBC.

And I'm sad to say that I used to consider LVA an unbiased source on all things Vegas, but several recent instances of MAGA positions espoused in the News and on their videos make me less trusting of them overall. Do you have a Vegas info source that you trust?

I like Jacob's videos as well.  I like he delves into areas of Vegas outside of the casinos and gambling.
