I'm a Stratosphere valet supervisor

Very nice! How is the parking situation in the Parking Structure now? I ask this because if you go to the LVA Free For All Message Board, in franco802's report called "I'm back! Trip report inside....." which was originally posted on 4/16/12 (you can get to it by going through the Search function here in the LVA Message Boards), he said that a Valet person at Stratosphere had told him that he would keep franco802's car close since there had been break-ins in the Parking Structure.

mtxmtx.... Congratulations on your promotion. Now I have a simple question. Years back I was waiting to get a cab from the Strat and noticed, much like every other hotel/casino, that the door man would pound on the taxi's roof once if the patron tipped the door man. And if there was no tip, there was no contact on the cab's roof. Because the line up was rather long that night, I had a good 10 minutes to prove my theory and it seem to hold true. Am I correct or should I just change my medication to correct my delusions?

Do the door men kick back money to the cabbies. I am not sure why they would do this.

I just saw this thread from 2007 and congratulations on your longevity.
The Strat is one of our favorites and we have been treated very well by our host (Ron Guse)
I do want to compliment the valets at the Strat- during a recent trip a few weeks back we got a cab. The cabdriver put up the rear window as our friend was climbing in the back and caught his fingers in the window.
A valet immediately went and got some ice for him- great group- always attentive and polite.
Since we moved from California to Iowa, we always fly rather than drive in however- early next month we are flying to Laughlin, renting a car and driving up to the Strat. We'll tell the valets hello.

Nothing like responding to a post that's over 5 1/2 years old!! Odd are he doesn't even work there anymore!

But I do see that he has still not asked the question that I posed earlier this year.
