In case of emergency

There must be visitors there who suddenly have a medical issue, anything from heat exhaustion to sprained ankle to losing their prescription meds.  Is there anywhere downtown like a first aid station people can go to?  It wouldn't have occured to me but that I've had difficulty at times when I've been unable to remove a stuck contact lens in my eye.  I don't want to think what a nightmare that could be if it happened there.

The best place to receive emergency care downtown is in one of the larger casinos. They all have EMTs and emergency medical equipment. They can get you an ambulance very quickly should you need it.

There must be a urgent care clinic.Check with your insurance. They may be able to give you covered locations in Las Vegas. My insurance gave me some last year.I have to check for this year.

There are plenty of urgent care centers around town, but I don't recall if there are any downtown.

I don't think there is one; if memory serves, the nearest one is on Charleston. That makes sense, as any downtown urgent care center (or ER) would be choked 24/7:with bombed-out drunks and druggies.

Tourists who don't venture beyond the FSE may not realize what an absolute toilet the rest of downtown really is.

have had the need for medical attention in LV many times. Could find no urgent care facilities downtown. the Minute Clinic at the CVS on the strip was where we ended up. The care was adequate for upper respiratory infections, allergy reactions. We took the Deuce from downtown. For a serious problem I would call 911.

I think if by chance your insurance covers urgent care.Worth the taxi cost to ride

to The Strip.
