Is there a bank or maybe a casino where I can.....

..... use PayPal or venmo to get money?   I'll admit up front that this sounds kinda strange because why can't you just use an ATM card and get money from the bank?   I'll admit it's a personal hangup because in the 30 years I've never once used an ATM in a casino,  I always bring enough cash for the trip for gambling and usually use credit cards for food and drinks but I was thinking that if there was a way to do it,  maybe I could use PayPal or Venmo to get money out there,  put it in the room safe and have at it,  thereby keeping my no ATM streak alive lol...... just s thought but had anyone done this or heard of it?   I'm guessing it's possible but not sure

Just get a debit card for your PayPal account and you can use it like any other debit card including taking withdrawals from an ATM.  PayPal issues them directly. I am taking mine on my December trip and plan to use it.

That makes sense, I'll look into it

The ATM fees in a casino tend to be very high!

Open a Charles Schwab checking account and they cover all of your ATM fees. But I don't know if they include casinos.

And downtown, The Heartattack Grill used to be the place for a free ATM transaction. Not sure if that's still the case.

You have to deal with two kinds of ATM fees, which sometimes are imposed simultaneously. There's what the operator of the ATM charges, and what your bank charges for an out-of-network ATM transaction. My bank doesn't charge for a withdrawal from any ATM, but that's a feature of my account, which I pay for in monthly service charges. I'm accustomed to getting hit for $3.50 by the ATM operator. So while you can probably evade charges imposed by your bank, you usually can't get away from those imposed by the third-party ATM operator.

You mentioned that you usually bring enough cash to cover your gambling. So do I. It's a great way to impose a "stop loss"--when you're out of that cash, you're done. So if you start off badly, you can dial down the stakes and/or just play for fewer hours. The worst couple of trips I ever had, I had two debit cards with me, and when I started out losing heavily, I just shrugged and went to the ATM. Over and over.

The easy availability of ATMs in casinos is for the exact same reason that the drinks are free. They want you to make bad judgments. Why facilitate that?

Have you tried getting a line of credit with the casino where you're staying. Some casinos require that your bank have brick and mortar stores, not just internet. My wife and I have lines of credit at every casino we play at. We used to go to a Las Vegas branch of our bank, but decided that a line of credit where we play is easier. We like using other peoples money for as long as possible.

A line of credit is definitely the way to go.  If you have a good trip you pay the marker back before you leave.

Simply obtain a debit card for your PayPal account and use it as you would any other debit card, including ATM withdrawals. They are issued directly by PayPal. I'm taking mine with me on my December trip and intend to use it.
