Landry's Card

Last September I used the Landry's card in the Golden nugget and was given a free up grade from the Carson tower to a JR suite in the rush tower with no issues at all (thru the normal check in line across from the pool)

Last Monday (May 16th) I walked past the "huge line" in the regular check in and made my way around the corner to the VIP check in like I heard we could as a Landrys card holder.

I flashed my landry's car, my credit card, and my confirmation made directly thru the Golden nugget web site.

The hottie boothling in the VIP area said "I will check you in here as a courtisy this time, but in the future, when using the landrys card you need to book thru the Landrys web site for any possible upgrades", ..........HUH?

I reciecved no up grade (in fact I got room# 666 in the carson tower). She stuck a whole bunch of Landry's phamphlets in with my reciept and away I went.

I checked the paperwork and the Landrys web site when I got home and it still looks to me that I did everything correctly. Who is wrong here?

She is! With the card you do get the VIP check in. However, you are not guaranteed the upgrade.

Well...doesn't that suck. I would have moaned and complained alittle... must have been the person at the desk. .I'm going in October and probably will get the card and try my luck. VIP checkin and the $25 credit would be worth it anyways.

The Landry's Club website now says you have to call to book your reservation and mention that you're a Landry's Select Club member when booking in order to get the upgrade.
