I just heard a radio interview with Elizabeth Becker who has written the book about world-wide tourism called Overbooked: The Exploding Business Of Travel And Tourism and she said that the big cities for Tourism in the U.S. go back and forth between Las Vegas and New York.

She said that Las Vegas is the biggest place to go to for Conventions and Conferences besides the other things to do there including Gambling, although for Gambling in and of itself, that is turning more towards Macau.
