Las Vegas drinking tip

So with the casinos trying so hard to stop free drinks....

If you like something like Mikes hard lemonade which is in many bright colors you can put it in an empty gatorade plastic bottle. It looks like gatorade, but it isnt and with the temps in las vegas sometimes around 100 degrees drinking a big bottle of "gatorade" in a casino does not look odd.

I dont like giving money to MGM resorts or Caesars resorts. They offer bad games and charge for parking. Unacceptable. So if in that neighborhood, instead of putting a $20 in a mchine at the bar if you are trying to scalp out a free drink and hoping to stay even for a little while and cash out, buy some Mikes at one of the convenience stores or pharmacies outside the casinos and dump it in a gatorade bottle. Also works downtown walking around especially if wanting to play a non bar machine but want a drink until cocktail waitress comes around. Nobody finds your "gatorade" unusual. Its a desert...

I like your way of thinking,but I don't like Mike's.

Just snag a plastic cup,by the door ,and fill it with you favorite beverage in your room.

I cannot play craps SOBER!

I start with video poker and beers until I begin making mistakes and then go to craps.

BJ is easy and boring, anyway.Either way, hammered or tipsy.

Besides ,the people that you meet and talk to are entertaining to me.

If they are not to serious about counting cards, especially.

Yes,my skills diminish after a few beers!

I just don't count cards as accurately. DUH.

"Cocktails?"  "Yes,please. Corona with NO lime."

The last time I was at The Downtown Grand, they didn't use anti-spill drink holders at the black jack tables!

  WTH?

The craps tables have a dedicated lower shelf for that.I also smoke, but I'm careful where the smoke goes.

At the Grand,I'll smoke out side.No place else.

Thanks for that post,Jabjazz!

Cant you just walk around with a bottle of Bud you took from your room?  How do they know it didn't come from the bar?

I haven't experienced the tight drink policies yet.    I actually like the gamble for drink-tickets idea, though.   I dont like to drink while I'm gambling - but it would be nice to accumulate some drink tickets that I could use afterwards while sitting in the lounge with the live music.    I wish every place had that system.
