Las Vegas Shows On Discovery Channel Today/Tonight (Weds. 9/10/14)

Hey Group,

Mostly tonight but also earlier in the day today, the Discovery Channel is airing a bunch of programs dealing with Las Vegas and/or Gambling. The programs are airing at the same time in each time zone. This runs from 3:00PM to 6:00PM and then continues on from 8:00PM to 3:00AM. So this is 10 hours total of Las Vegas related programming.

So the schedule of these shows in chronological order is as follows:

3PM -- Vegas Rat Rods (A TV Show About Cars) -- "Electro Rod";

4PM -- Vegas Rat Rods -- "Tuxedo Rod";

5PM -- Vegas Rat Rods -- "Ranch Rod";

8PM -- Hustling The House;

9:01PM -- Casino Secrets;

10:02PM -- Underground Poker;

11:03PM -- Cheating Vegas -- "Insiders";

12:04AM -- Cheating Vegas -- "Game Changers";

1:05AM -- Cheating Vegas -- "Hall Of Fame";

2:06AM -- Las Vegas: Follow The Money

Enjoy!

You're very welcome! And thanks for listing the Central Time time airings of the shows! I hope that you enjoyed the stuff!

And did you notice that in one of the shows they had the Slot Tech decide what pay schedule and/or return that they wanted each machine to have? This goes back to what I said in that other thread.

So it's better for people to keep their eyes open for anything that can happen but also to try to look at the different pay schedules in case for example two are similar but one has a more disproportionate top jackpot than the other one -- like the two machines that they showed for the sake of comparison.

I didn't get much out of either of the prime time shows...no mention of VP at all. And the best way to turn $30 into a $1,000 is Roulette...you got to be kidding.
These shows must have been sponsored by the casinos with all their marginal advice on how to win.

Almost wished I had watched Obama.

Yes, I wasn't happy that Video Poker wasn't mentioned, since actually at times, it offers a return of over 100% not only in and of itself but also including after factoring in Slot Club return.

And I noticed that with Blackjack, they did not mention Doubling Down, Splitting Pairs or Surrender, only Hitting and Standing!

As for the turning $30 into $1,000, I'm sure that the show's producers believe that some people like to take a big and wild shot at times, although even with Roulette, they could have possibly mentioned a Single-Zero wheel of giving them a better shot at that happening.
