Hi Group,
There is an actual condition that some people get when they go to Las Vegas. It is called "Las Vegas Syndrome." I learned about it from a TV show I saw several years ago that dealt with Las Vegas Paramedics. It's basically where people end up experiencing Sensory Overload. These are people who end up doing too many bad things and then they really can end up suffering because of it.
In this TV show, I remember seeing that there was a guy just passed out in the street and the Paramedics had said that he likely was suffering from Las Vegas Syndrome.
First of all, Las Vegas had a very dry climate and so people need to make even more sure that they are very well hydrated (most especially with Water). Unfortunately, drinks with Alcohol as well as drinks with Caffeine are actually further drying and can also be Diuretics which can make a person need to go to the bathroom more.
Also, Alcohol helps people to lose their inhibitions and helps to lead them to make errors and have lapses in judgement. This is why casinos offer Free Alcohol to players. And so I encourage people who will end up drinking no matter what to at the very least not drink Alcohol either right before or during their playing in the casino time.
Furthermore, people in Las Vegas tend to run, run, run and burn thrie candle at both ends. People not only need to get proper rest while in Las Vegas, but they also need to have and use comfortable walking shoes because in Las Vegas, a lot of walking ends up being done. This walking is not only within casinos themselves but between casinos as well (as well as to parking lots and to people's hotel rooms from the casino). Plus, if someine is coming to Las Vegas for a Convention, then there will be additional walking done throughout the Convention Center space.
Additionally, people in Las Vegas can skip meals and then gorge themselves and can eat very rich and/or heavy food and this further takes a toll on a person's body.
And so people really should be handling being in Las Vegas very carefully because all of the above listed things can add up and then cause this "Las Vegas Syndrome" which can cause people to collapse and need to go to the Emergency Room of a hospital! So Please do things in Moderation and try to prepare yourselves mentally and physically for this.
Again, make sure to get good rest, be well hydrated (at least primarily with Water), don't eat too much bad stuff and be able to walk a lot and have good, comfortable already worn-in walking shoes!
I'm mentioning this because just the other day, a friend of mine told me that one of his friends went to Las Vegas to see the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and ended up having to go to the hospital for I think he said a very fast heartbeat due to at least Dehydration.
I was able to immediately tell my friend that his friend probably experienced a bout of "Las Vegas Syndrome." My friend was surprised that I knew about that condition and was able to name it as well.
Here is a link that further explaines it: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Las%20Vegas%20Syndrome
