Las Vegas- The television show

So the wife is dragging me thru wal-mart last week end when I came across a "las vegas" season one CD (actually 3CD's) for $20. Since I didnt have anything better to do, I bought season one and started to watch. I havent seen this show on TV in years.

Since then I have bought seasons 2 & 3 and cant stop watching them!Danny & Mike are still cool, and Delinda is as hot as ever!. The cool part is they are uncut and un censored, so when they get to a topless pool scene, the girls in the pool are actually topless! (see season 3)

Another cool thing is The Sands, Westward Ho, and the Boardwalk and other long gone casinos can still be seen in operation

So, if your like me and the economy is keeping you from Las Vegas, this $20 might help fill some of the void!

Enjoy Weggie
This was like the most stupidest show that my girlfriend and I got addicted to. Something about the Vegas background shots, and some of the secondary and tertiary plots gave you an eye into casino operation. It was a great escape for us--but ridiculous.
you said uncensored Topless pool scenes?.... SOLD!!!!
I bought hubby Seasons 1, 2 & 3 for Christmas last year.

I agree, cheesy show, but hubby likes Nikki Cox and we are hooked on it. So sad when they canceled the TV show.

We love to watch them all in a row for those long 6-9 hour car trips.

We also watch them on our portable DVD player on the plane to Vegas. We leave for Vegas in 3 days, 5 hours....but who's counting?!

Not sure where you live, but TNT has been running the reruns for years. The price sounds decent, especially since it's commercial free and uncensored. I think you're mistaken about seeing the Sands in footage. The Sands was implded in about '96 or '97 to make way for the Venetian, which opened in what, '99 or 2000. The TV show didn't start filming until after that. There was a "back to the future" type episode (not sure which season) that showed a lot of old footage. That might have been where you saw the Sands. It was a mediocre series and as with most Vegas shows lacked any realism. I always loved how anyones in the joint could walk in and out of the surveilance room. In a real Vegas casino, most employees don't even know where it is, much less how toget in. I watched it every week though.

I'll tell you that the Vegas show I'd like to see on DVD is American Casino. It was halfway decent. I better go google it.

Good Luck!

I enjoyed the Las Vegas show on NBC.. Very disappointed they way they left the last show as a cliff hanger, I hoped for a year they would have a 2 hour show closer to tie up all the lose ends.....
I googeled American casino DVD for sale and found nothing.
The show is on every monday-friday from 12pm-2pm on TNT. I thought it was an east coast thing only for TNT, when I went to Vegas......woke up and turned on TNT and there was Las Vegas on TV while in Las Vegas.

Weird.

Great show.. the first season was the best. They still tried to come off as a "drama" but by the last season (featuring Magnum P.I.) It became very hokey and silly. However, Ill agree that it would have been nice to have some kind of resolution of the series.

Its fun to watch the Montecito bounce from one side of the strip to the other in the external shots. At some points its about 3x bigger than the Luxor, other times, its half the size of NYNY. And the main office overlooks Harrahs.. but the hotel is set across from Mandalay Bay. Nice.

I watch this show way too much...

marko..
I enjoyed the realism of Danny's military career.
