Lists or no lists

LOL, we leave for Vegas sat morning at 6:30. Every day...SEVERAL times hubby asks if I have made a list yet of where we are eating, what shows we are interested in, the times, locations etc. Have I made a list of what we are taking, etc..etc. Me, I am always a procrastinator and also dont like to schedule everything. but I do get it. We are there 5 full days but there is soooo much to see and do especially since we havent been there in 2 years. We normally have more gambling money and usually see just one show, like a Cirque show, but this time we have less to gamble with and decided to see more less expensive shows, so it does make sense to make that list. We do have the coupon book with 241 tickets to shows and buffets, so I know we should try to maximize our savings that way. In one way 5 days sounds like a lot, but then in another NOT enough time! Well, lunch break almost over, so no list making, unless its after work. :-)

BTW, we are thinking of Frankie Morino (no 2/4/1 there), XBurlesque, Terry Fator if we can find good discounts, maybe the Mob Attraction and Bodies. I have been dying to see bodies! Oops, maybe I should have worded that differently!

update, i gave in and started my list at work. good thing...i started checking into the shows we had thought about and not all were playing when i wanted to see them so i juggled them all around on the list. I had also forgotten that we want to see legends in concert. Thats another we havent seen! Now i have to figure out which buffets we want to use the coupons for and which day to try Ellis Island for the first time. Humm maybe i WILL be pretty organized before we go!
Yep, making a list is the best way to maximize the use of discounts and coupons. It also helps me get through those last days of waiting to leave.
As far as a list for where to eat, I always leave it up to wife. Her favorite time is for breakfast. We always get to Cracked Egg and Blueberry Hill. Although they have stopped serving at Blueberry Hill her favorite, Pineapple & Coconut French Toast. I'm just happy with coffee in front of a video poker machine at El Cortez. Very relaxing for first thing in the morning. DJH

Every September my wife and I go to Vegas for a week. I'm on the advisor almost every night writing down deals or shows that we might be interested in. On Labor day I spent 7 hours putting all our notes, coupons, shows, and deals together. After making lots of calls out to Vegas to check if deals where still going on or not. I've got five pages so far in our itinerary. We usually get through most of it.
I am definitely the list maker in our house. We are leaving Friday afternoon for 10 days, and I've been working on my list for weeks. Where we're eating, where we're playing (determined largely by who is having point-multiplier days), which shows we're seeing, etc. We probably won't stick to it religiously, but it does eliminate the hassle of "What do you want to do today?", followed closely by "I don't know - what do you want to do?" If we want to do something else, that's ok but if nothing else strikes our fancy at least I know I've got a plan.
We used to make lists - and spend our time keeping up with the schedule.
We enjoy it far more now since we stopped.
Enjoy the moment and the freedom. That's my 2c

List! List! List! My list starts from day one of organizing. Hotel/shows/restaurants are pick so that all are in the same area to prevent travel/walking time. Also list so we don't forget where we need to be. We usually stay for 10-12 nights at a time. (if I'm going to spend that long in a plane I'm not going for just a few days).
FYI--as far a shows go--have you looked into the Harrahs 48hr show pass for $99? Can be a great deal if you organize and there are shows there you want to see. If your not sure on this deal you can see the details on the Harrahs site.
Thanks LT, I forgot about he 48 hour pass! I will check into that. BTW when switching hotels, for instance, Mirage to Flamingo, do most people walk it with their luggage, or cab it?
FYI: I see Terry Fator is playing in So. Cal this Friday. Don't know if he will be there when you are.
