Lists or no lists

Usually jog down a couple of notes as things we may want to do. Different places to eat and shop. But, as far as a detailed list we just don't do one. We pretty much just go with the flow for the day. Go to several casinos and if we like one we just spend the day there.

5 days will be gone by before one knows it. Have fun and good luck

Thanks LT, I forgot about he 48 hour pass! I will check into that. BTW when switching hotels, for instance, Mirage to Flamingo, do most people walk it with their luggage, or cab it?

We walk w/ the luggage if it is close. Early in the am/well alot of times you see people changing hotels and forgoing cabs.
I would just walk my luggage from Mirage to Flamingo. I took the free bus to Fashion Show Mall from Red Rock last trip and then walked to TI and it wasn't bad. A couple of days later I decided to taxi from TI to Bellagio and I think it cost me $12 plus tip. (The cobblestone sidewalk by Caesar's discouraged me.)
i just got back from my first trip without an itinerary. there are so many things i forgot to do, particularly use a lot of my coupons. so now i guess i need to go back.

We always take along a 2 DO list. It begins with a carry-over of the lists from previous trips. It is by day and yet is not something we rigidly follow. It has confirmation numbers, phone numbers, boarding pass info and options for happy hours/meals and shows. This list also helps remind us of things we enjoyed but haven't done for awhile. It is adjusted during the trip to include pool time, poker time, shopping and hair appointments to help us keep track of each other since we often head off doing those things we separately like to do.
I don't exactly make a list.
I have learned over the years that there are a few things that should be done ahead of time
I do buy tickets for any shows several weeks prior to the trip.
I also make reservations at one or two restaurants that we definitely want to make it to.
We are ususally there for 5 nights so that always leaves time for a couple spontaneous decisions.

I don't make a list, I make an entire spreadsheet.

Things like flight times, car rental info, hotels (sometimes two at the same time time), how much money they are giving us just for showing up, where we will probably (maybe) eat, which days to do laundry so we have enough clothes, which days are point multiplier days, Cowboys football game days, possible shows (but we rarely go), print boarding pass reminders, happy hours.

While in Las Vegas we "glance" at today's trip plan in the morning, then go out and do what we want, which is mostly playing video poker.

I am definitely the list maker in our house. We are leaving Friday afternoon for 10 days, and I've been working on my list for weeks. Where we're eating, where we're playing (determined largely by who is having point-multiplier days), which shows we're seeing, etc. We probably won't stick to it religiously, but it does eliminate the hassle of "What do you want to do today?", followed closely by "I don't know - what do you want to do?" If we want to do something else, that's ok but if nothing else strikes our fancy at least I know I've got a plan.

I am also a list maker , I am the planner for the group but I am flexible. So much to see and do I always add to the list and never get it all done that's what keeps me coming back. Lists evolve and I enjoy looking back at some older lists and Trs and think oops haven't done that in a while and it was so much fun. I think I enjoy the planning as much as the actual trip.
Started going to Vegas regularly in 2004. For the first few years always had a list. Now, no list at all.
We just wake up and go with the flow each day. Thats what makes Vegas to us.
Yes, I also have no list (except for maybe an LVA Members' Meet) otherwise I really don't tend to see shows -- I tend to see friends and maybe family if I'm not playing, eating, walking around or resting.
