Long hauling from airport: article

Living here If I was to go from the Paris to the Golden Nugget which is down town I would hop the freeway at Flamingo and get off at the Down Town exit avoiding a long ride down the strip unless it was at a time when the traffic was light which is not that often. The ride to downtown form the Paris is not the tunnel scenerio or any other long way around issue as it is from the airport.
Still if traffic was light (and this is the key), going right up the strip makes sense. More importantly, the driver is suppose to go the way the passenger requests. Getting mad, and going the way they want is not ok. For me, the driver getting irritated is a "tip off" that the way you requested will cost less. Yes there can be other reasons, but I would suggest that passengers be persistent in having the driver go the way they instructed.
