LV Shows On Travel Channel This Morning (7/12/2011)

I'm just now seeing that there are two Las Vegas related shows (both old) on the Travel Channel This morning.

From 9-9:30AM Pacific Time is the show called "$40 A Day" which has a spotlight on Las Vegas foods and eateries (this show is from 2004) and then from 11:00AM-12 Noon Pacific Time is the 2001 show called "Getting Rich In Vegas" which says that it's about how to be a profitable low-roller in Las Vegas (and if I remember correctly, this show includes Jean Scott).

So the "$40 A Day" show was actually Copyright 2002 and in it, Rachel Ray got some of her information for where to go from the Las Vegas Advisor (and she mentioned it in the beginning of the show) and the newsletter itself was shown at both the beginning and at the end of the show!
The show itself spotlighted "Bahama Breeze" restaurant, the Cafe in Palms, "Freed's Bakery" as well as the "Firelight Buffet" at Sam's Town.

She was able to do all these places for just under $40 (including Tax and tip) at that time.

I used to get excited when I saw a Vegas themed show on Travel Channel, but they keep recycling the same ones over and over every year.
Vegas Do and Donts, Sucker Bets, High Rollers in Vegas.. seen em all, 3 or 4 times..

Yes, it would definitely be nice to see some new LV programming but I don't necessarily mind seeing these shows over again.

And it was nice that the LVA Newsletter, website and Anthony were involved with both of the shows that aired today.

I don't know if they are still doing it, but it appeared that Rachel Ray got the issue of the LVA at or near the hotel registration desk at Palms Casino.
