LV Strip crime

I am hearing stories about strip crime being way up. 

Is this true?

That information was in Vegas news today. Metro will be more present on the strip.

The best way to judge the accuracy of stories you "are hearing" is to evaluate the objectivity of the source. For instance, Fox News recently reported that Portland was "in flames." Those who actually lived there just looked at each other and laughed.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, though not a credible source, reported a 29% increase in violent crime. That's actually not all that significant. It's within the range of normal variation, which means it's less than one standard deviation from the average. It's like losing three hands of blackjack in a row.

Of course, pundits from all sides have been quick to attribute this largely statisically insignificant rise in violence to various "bad elements"; who those bad elements supposedly are varies according to the political bent of whoever is doing the hypothesizing.

My take is that very crowded conditions (not all places people could normally go are open) plus extremely hot weather made tempers flare up more than usual.

The Proud Boys, etc. are all ginned up, and they all have big manly GUNZ. Vegas is Trump Land. So yes, there will be more of it. Just wait until after the election!

This picture from today's Las Vegas Review Journal shows the suspects in the Strip shooting - all I see here are 2 non white suspects, who obviously are not "Proud Boys. --

I was referring to the violence in general. White supremacists with guns and MAGA hats.

Your post was said in such a manner as to suggest that this incident had a connection to the Proud Boys, etc., when there is no verifiable actual connection. 

2 homicides near South Point yesterday....shooting at the casino itself....and a stabbing next door at the timeshare property.   Be careful out there.
