march madness

Sharp, you're right that IP doesn't have the ballroom setup. But the last two years at least they've set up additional big screens and long tables in the bar area at the rear of the race/sports book with all of the TVs in the actual book showing races. I think you may still be able to get the games on the small TVs on the desks in the race book, but not sure about that.

Yeah Matt, the IP is a great choice on the strip since at least they add some extra seats and its free. I havent seen too many other places do that. Thats why I go off the strip now for most of the games.
My brother and I will be out there March 15-20th. It's our fifth year in Vegas for March Madness. We'll be at Bally's for the games. We did go to the ballrooms at Paris and LVH previously and those we're fine. The Hoops at the Mezz at PH is nice with a buffet and beer but it costs $60+ per person. We're gonna try and get into Lagasse's Stadium one of the days but I don't know if my level of bets will get me a seat.
Where do you watch in Ballys? One of my friends really liked it there when he was there this summer and wants to try to it out for one day.

Sorry for the Dup!
My wife and I have been going to Vegas for March Madness for many years. The first weekend is always a madhouse due to the number of games. It took us years to find a place to easily watch the first weekend without a crowd. We found the Cannery (North edition). We could sit in the bar and watch all the games without a crowd. Our host Tom Corbett comped our room Wed thru Sun for the first weekend. We would then spend the next week in a condo at the Grandview which is right next door to the South Point Casino. The South Point is a great place to watch the second weekend as the crowds have thinned out and the service there is fantastic. The crowds may be a thing of the past because last year for the first time all games were televised. Unless you are constantly betting you can sit at home and watch all the games. We will continue to come to Vegas each year however because we love Vegas. I believe the South Point has a special viewing and betting room for the first weekend of March Madness. Check it out.
We watch in the sportsbook. I went through my host to reserve seats.
