McCarran Liquor Store Opens

Near the terminal 1 baggage claim. Apparently the first liquor store in a US airport that isn't duty-free.

Get your drunk started at the Liquor Library.

I am sure it's not duty free. Hell, I would doubt it is even retail. I have to think the "monopoly" will be jacking up their prices.

I'll take a quick look at their prices tomorrow when I fly in.

Would like to know the prices too. We know what we pay at home. So we should know if its a bargain.

Did a quick check on gin and vodka prices and you can actually buy cheaper in the hotel gift shops.

that's disappointing...why even bother to open a store with jacked up prices. Duh....people will buy it for the convenience.

I'm sure that they have no choice with the rent they must be paying to McCarran. The transportation companies just finished bidding for spots at Terminal 1 and 3 last year (the airport limited acceptance to the top 4 companies) and bidding ran into the millions of dollars for the rights to those concessions.

Why is a liquor store located at the airport newsworthy? Everything at any airport is overpriced. Anyone who thought differently is just fooling themselves.
