Las Vegas seems to have many military discounts published, hotel, dining, shows, etc. Does anyone know if this only includes active military, or if you could receive the special offers with a retired military id?
I see that circus circus always has military discounts. It says with a valid military ID. I am not very familiar with the ids past and present. LVA is now offering Hotel/Show deals.
You could call them directly at: Room Reservations Information 1-800-634-3450 702-691-5950
Just a heads up though, the military promotions are usually not the best rates. I would find the hotel you would like to stay and search for the best one on the days you are going.
I'm retired millitary too and the best deal I've ever gotten was at the Venetian for the Jersey Boys show. Call their box office and see if they're offering a military discount - it isn't always advertised, but they run it frequently. $50 for tickets in the very back. Just before the show, ask if there are any complimentary upgrades available. We got moved to the 3rd row VIP section. The show was amazing!
MGM regularly offers a military discount for KA. Mirage has a discount for Terry Fator. Treasure Island sometimes has a military discount for Mystere (we got a buy one, get one free). I would check each website or just call their box offices. Good Luck.
