DonDiego notes that Blonde4ever's source,  vitalvegas.com,  does indeed claim the   "technology . . . called “beamforming audio,” . . . sends sound via witchcraft rather than through speakers".

DonDiego cautions those contemplating attending any performances at the MSG Sphere to take approproate precautioary measures.

However, The Architects Newspaper suggests "The 18,000-seat venue will feature what’s known as beamforming audio, an acoustics technology developed by the German company Holoplot that uses planar audio waves to send sound directly to a specific location."

From a practical viewpoint it really doesn't matter which of the above is more accurate.  As Arthur C. Clark once explained: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
