MSS poor customer service?

I would think that is a better situtation; paying by the round. If the tip is lousy on the first round, maybe they don't get the best service the next round. Now getting a great tip, I would be working them for great tips each round and try to keep them there as long as I can! Most people order the same thing each round, so each additional round would be easy work and an easy tip. There is no reason to refuse that scenario.

I am amazed, though, how so many people are looking for jobs and then we have to deal with lousy service from some of those who do have them.

Tammi from N. GA
Calipso I agree that a nicely-written complaint letter is in order. Will try to convince the gang to do just that.

KSeitz I am also a big fan of 777. I love the food, atmosphere, and especially their brews! To be honest, I will still go there. What a lousy friend I am!!!

and miniwhale you are right on the money! Like I said, I have never worked F/B but just don't understand turning business away. If the server had given them the first round for cash like they asked, trust me, she would have been more than happy to serve them all night. And the next 5 nights as well!

I would go the letter writing route. In the past 15 years of going to Vegas with all its changes, I almost always receive some sort of response with a well placed and focus letter. I usually add a few compliments before I lodge a complaint. I also have written letters to praise or compliment an employee, especially if it as a casino I frequent. In one case, the employee actually wrote me a thank you note. That was Red Rocks!

It is sad, but I often think that if a casino hotel, had the customer service attitude of Disney. They could keep the place filled. But for management, it needs to be part of the culture. I am not talking about giving a huge amount of stuff away, just the basics. Employees who really care about the customer. So rare today!
The only reason I could think that policy exists is because it requires the waitress to make an extra trip to the cash register for change/credit card payment after each round and thats possibly a hassle.

2 ways to get around this:
1) Sit at the bar. They almost always give you the choice between a tab and pay-as-you-go.
2) Have someone from the group walk up to the bar and bring the drinks back to the table for each round. Waitress probably doesn't like that but tough shit...

I've boycotted a few places in Vegas for bad service but 777 Brewpub would really have to piss me off to stop me from going there. I like their brews too much =)

We (LVAers) have had several member meets there w/ up to 24 people-- this didn't ever happen to us/ wonder if your server balked and not management though I sure don't see why.

crazy to lose business in this economy!
Gee, I remember attending a members meet there and I gave the (very cute and energetic)
waitress a really big tip!!!

And this was after I burned my thumb on a hot plate that she warned me about and I as usual forgot to listen up. LOL

It all ended well since I cooled it in a glass of dark beer. At least, I think it was dark before I put my thumb into it.

I would give them another try.
Sometimes different days render different results.

They have really good bar grub!!!
