Near Road Kill in Casino

Just got back from a Vegas Trip. Me and the Mrs had a close call at the Four Queens on Wed. night. An Elderly woman had her Motorized Scooter going at top speed down the aisle and we almost stepped into her path. Close Call..Maybe we need a speed limit sign or governor on those babies..She was obviously headed for her machine. Anybody had a similar experience?
Also at Four Queens, I had a lady drive into the empty chair next to me. The guy on the other side of the chair told her drinking and driving was never a good idea. We all laughed as no one was injured this time.
a lot of them scooter squatters drive like maniacs and are very rude. also, they will put it in reverse to back up on you and they do not look behind them. they get some choice words from me. while some of are truly physically handicapped, many are just lazy fat slobs. I may get criticized for saying it but it is true. they even use the fatmobile to get better seats at a concert, priority boarding and such.
vegasdev- Bravo, you are correct, many are LAZY FAT SLOBS.

a couple years ago we were at excalibur and we were going up the ramp to the casino and this lady in a motorized wheelchair was going "DOWN" the ramp to the street. She could not stop and went right into the glass door. Shattered it. She was OK. What a scene.
Sometimes during summer monthes, people with strollers are just as bad.
I was walking with my friend and a scooter came up behind her, ran over her and knocked her down. Her excuse was "I beeped my horn" . My friend bled like a stuck pig and hobbled the rest of the weekend.

I agree strollers and grocery carts at Costco or Walmart can be almost as bad.

I do think most scooter drivers are considerate but like road rage drivers it only takes a few.

the stores and casinos that you frequent must be the exception. I work a part-time job in retail and we find most of them to be rude and inconsiderate. most of them enter the place with a selfish attitude and it just goes downhill from there. I bet if they saw a $20 bill on the floor, they would spring up like jack-in-the-box to pick it up.
In a casino or store, find a manager to speak to the scooter people to slow down.
Of course, that's if you can get hold of a manager before the speeder has disappeared.

Likely, the 'driver' uses a manual wheelchair, walker, or some other device at home, and isn't used to the speed of a scooter.

Wheeee....isn't this fun?!!

IMO, manufacturers should design scooters and electric wheelchairs with a slower maximum speed, such as the speed of a brisk walk.

I mean, how fast does one need to go in a public place?
